Introducing the Storytelling Association:
Storytelling and listening to stories has always been one of the most important and common ways of transmitting experience, and among different Iranian ethnic groups, stories such as treasures or precious heritage have been passed on to future generations. In terms of education, training and upbringing can also be considered a prominent role for the story because many important issues in the field of education of children and adolescents can be presented using storytelling.
Therefore, the Center for the Intellectual Development of Children and Adolescents, as the flag bearer of storytelling in Iran, has established a storytelling association with the aim of promoting the culture of storytelling and educating the active audience. The cultural deputy of the Center for the Intellectual Development of Children and Adolescents is active. An association that, with the presence of prominent figures in the field as trustees, tries to be an umbrella to support storytellers in 31 provinces of the country, while presenting a well-codified curriculum to nurture potential talents.
Introducing the President of the Association:
Bahram Shahmohammadlou was born on December 16, 1980 in Tehran. He has a bachelor's degree in performing arts from the Faculty of Fine Arts and is one of the founders of the first group of the Theater Professional Center of the Center for the Intellectual Development of Children and Adolescents in 1350. A director, actor in theater, cinema and television, and puppet shows, he is considered one of the longest-serving presenters of television programs in the field of storytelling, known to various generations as Mr. Hekayati.
Association Committees:
The Storytelling Association has two main committees. The Scientific Committee is headed by Ms. Mina Zakir, PhD in Information Science, University Lecturer and Research Deputy of the General Directorate of Education and Research of the Children and Adolescents' Intellectual Development Center, and the International Committee is headed by Bahareh Jahandoust who is a presenter, writer, storyteller, narrator and teacher of children and adolescents.
